Jesus calls to every person everywhere: “Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you and LEARN from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls” (Matthew 11:28-29). Because Jesus and the Father are one, from Jesus we LEARN who God is. Because He came as one of us, from Jesus we LEARN who we are meant to be.

Regardless of where you are on your spiritual journey, you can always LEARN more from Jesus. Perhaps you want to -- simply “Come and see,” check Him out, understand why He came to earth, see if He is who Christians claim Him to be. Or maybe you want to -- investigate what it means to truly follow Him, finally understand His hard truths, take risks in obeying His commands. Or maybe you want to -- teach as He taught, see why His patient plan to deeply disciple a few resulted in exponential multiplication.

From this Fall of 2023 through spring of 2025, our pastors will preach through the book of Mark. LEARNING Jesus, a study of the chronological life of Christ using all four gospels, will accompany the sermon series. Community  groups using this study will follow a Bible Reading Plan and process a few comprehension and reflection questions each day to prepare for group discussion. This study will include engaging hands-on experiences so that our LEARNING will be displayed in both our weekly discussions and in our deeds.

If you are in a ROOTED, re|engage, re:generation, or other group this semester, you can still follow the Bible Reading Plan and process the questions. And, of course, you will be with us in the book of Mark on Sundays. So next semester you can easily jump into a LEARNING Jesus group if you wish.

Church, we are excited to follow Jesus step by step together for two years. May God transform each of us into Little Jesus-es who deeply depend on the One to deeply disciple one more for His name, for this is His choice for transforming the world.
