Maintaining the Unity of the Spirit | The Advocate

Ephesians 1:15-16

For this reason, because I have heard of your faith in the Lord Jesus and your love[a] toward all the saints, 16 I do not cease to give thanks for you, remembering you in my prayers,

Ephesians 3:14-19

For this reason I bow my knees before the Father, 15 from whom every family[a] in heaven and on earth is named, 16 that according to the riches of his glory he may grant you to be strengthened with power through his Spirit in your inner being, 17 so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith—that you, being rooted and grounded in love, 18 may have strength to comprehend with all the saints what is the breadth and length and height and depth, 19 and to know the love of Christ that surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.

Ephesians 4:1-6

I therefore, a prisoner for the Lord, urge you to walk in a manner worthy of the calling to which you have been called, with all humility and gentleness, with patience, bearing with one another in love, eager to maintain the unity of the Spirit in the bond of peace. There is one body and one Spirit—just as you were called to the one hope that belongs to your call—one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God and Father of all, who is over all and through all and in all.

Humility - without arrogance, to asses in light of our sin and the way God sees us, through the lens of His Son

Gentleness - gentleness of attitude and behavior, in contrast with harshness in one’s dealings with others.

Patience - a state of emotional calm in the face of provocation or misfortune and without complaint or irritation

Bearing - to be patient with, in the sense of ENDURING possible difficulty

Love - to have love for someone or something, based on sincere appreciation and high regard

Eager - to do something with intense effort and motivation.
