Our God Is Jealous

HE IS INTOLERANT OF RIVALRY OR UNFAITHFULNESS

Praise:

Praising God for who He Is, His Attributes, His Name, His Character.

Read:

Sunday: Exodus 20:5; Deuteronomy 32:16

You shall not bow down to them or serve them, for I the Lord your God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children to the third and the fourth generation of those who hate me,

They stirred him to jealousy with strange gods;
with abominations they provoked him to anger.

Monday: Nahum 1:2; Psalm 78:58

The Lord is a jealous and avenging God;
the Lord is avenging and wrathful;
the Lord takes vengeance on his adversaries
and keeps wrath for his enemies.

For they provoked him to anger with their high places;
they moved him to jealousy with their idols.

Tuesday: Exodus 34:14; Joshua 24:19

(for you shall worship no other god, for the Lord, whose name is Jealous, is a jealous God),

But Joshua said to the people, “You are not able to serve the Lord, for he is a holy God. He is a jealous God; he will not forgive your transgressions or your sins.

Wednesday: Zephaniah 1:18; Deuteronomy 4:24

Neither their silver nor their gold
    shall be able to deliver them
    on the day of the wrath of the Lord.
In the fire of his jealousy,
    all the earth shall be consumed;
for a full and sudden end
    he will make of all the inhabitants of the earth.

For the Lord your God is a consuming fire, a jealous God.

Thursday: Joel 2:18

Then the Lord became jealous for his land
and had pity on his people.

Friday: Zechariah 8:2

“Thus says the Lord of hosts: I am jealous for Zion with great jealousy, and I am jealous for her with great wrath.

CONFESSION:

Confess your sins, your guilts & doubts

“You cannot drink the cup of the Lord and the cup of demons. You cannot partake of the table of the Lord and the table of demons. Shall we provoke the Lord to jealousy? Are we stronger than he?” (1 Cor 10:21-22- memory verse)

THANKSGIVING:

Thank God for answers to Prayer, for things He has done. No prayer requests during this time.

“So will I satisfy my wrath on you, and my jealousy shall depart from you. I will be calm and will no more be angry.” (Ezekiel 16:42- memory verse)
