Jesus Is Our Interceder

To Intervene Between Parties With A View To Reconciling Differences, To Mediate, Negotiate

Materials needed: Bible, Pen & Journal

Praise:

Praising God for who He Is, His Attributes, His Name, His Character.

Read:

Sunday: Job 16:19-21

Even now, behold, my witness is in heaven,
and he who testifies for me is on high.
20
My friends scorn me;
my eye pours out tears to God,
21
that he would argue the case of a man with God,
as[
a] a son of man does with his neighbor.

Monday: Romans 8:26-27

Likewise the Spirit helps us in our weakness. For we do not know what to pray for as we ought, but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with groanings too deep for words. 27 And he who searches hearts knows what is the mind of the Spirit, because[a] the Spirit intercedes for the saints according to the will of God.

Tuesday: Romans 8:33-34

Who shall bring any charge against God's elect? It is God who justifies. 34 Who is to condemn? Christ Jesus is the one who died—more than that, who was raised—who is at the right hand of God, who indeed is interceding for us.[a]

Wednesday: 1 Timothy 2:5; Hebrews 7:25

For there is one God, and there is one mediator between God and men, the man[a] Christ Jesus,

Consequently, he is able to save to the uttermost[a] those who draw near to God through him, since he always lives to make intercession for them.

Thursday: 1 John 2:1

My little children, I am writing these things to you so that you may not sin. But if anyone does sin, we have an advocate with the Father, Jesus Christ the righteous.

Friday: Heb 9:24

For Christ has entered, not into holy places made with hands, which are copies of the true things, but into heaven itself, now to appear in the presence of God on our behalf.

Prayer Time

CONFESSION:

Confess your sins, your guilts & doubts

“For we don not have ahigh priest who is unable to sympathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are-yet was without sin. Let us then approach the throne of grace with confidcence so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need;”

(Hebrews 4:15, 16- memory verse)

THANKSGIVING:

Thank God for answers to Prayer, for things He has done. No prayer requests during this time.

“We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, where Jesus, who went before us has entered on our behalf. He has become a high priest forever, in the order of Melchizedek.” (Hebrews 6:19, 20- memory verse)

Write down your petitions and answers to prayer in your journal
